Explanation

Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Insurance begins on the 1st day of the month following employment.
  • Medical Insurance - Employees have a choice between an HMO, standard (80/70) PPO, and high option (90/70) PPO plans offered through CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS). Prescription coverage is included and provided by MEDCO
  • Dental Insurance – Provided through Delta Dental (Participating Dentists: Delta Dental PPO & Delta Dental Premier)
  • Vision Insurance – Provided through Vision Service Plan (VSP)
  • GTEC pays a fixed percent of employee’s insurance premiums

Paid Time Off (PTO) GTEC provides paid time off to eligible employees to cover vacation, illness for employees or dependents, and personal time off. The PTO benefit accrues per pay period based on years of service.

Compensation ll employees will be paid semi-monthly on the fifteenth and the last day of the month for salary accrued during the previous pay period (i.e., paid on the last day of the month for work performed during 1st through the 15th).
Education Assistance Full-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement of up to $5,250 per year. The company reimburses 80% of the tuition and book costs.
Employee Assistance Program The Human Resources Department conducts some counseling, but employees who require professional counseling are encouraged to seek outside assistance through our contracted Employee Assistance Program.
